Becoming a Christian

There is no greater joy than seeing someone come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.  Each profession of faith brings joy to our Church family as they join the family of God.  
 

All Have Sinned –  

“…for all have sinned and fall short in the glory of God.” 
Romans 3:23

The wages of sin is death –

 “…the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 
Romans 6:23

You must be born again-

In reply Jesus declared.  “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again”
John 3:3

Jesus is the way to have eternal life-

Jesus answered, “I am the way the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6

If you confess Jesus, you will be saved-

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” 
Romans 10:9-10

We will become children of God-

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!  And that is what we are!  The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.  Dear friends, now we are children of God…
1 John 1-2

 

Salvation Prayer:

Dear God, I know I am a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins. I turn from sin and turn to Jesus. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and that He rose from the grave. Father, I want Jesus to come into my life. I want Jesus to be my leader and Lord. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen.
